If you enjoy long walks along the beachfront, don’t pass up this wonderful opportunity for a romantic stroll! Perfect at any time of time, though especially exquisite during the sunrise and sunset hours, this boardwalk offers breathtaking views of the ocean and the sky. If you have time, check out some of the local shops, bars, and restaurants along the Malecón – stretching from the Hotel Rosita to the Zócalo (main square), there is bound to be plenty to enjoy!

Snorkeling/Scuba Diving/Horseback

Look no further for the perfect way to spend that special day in Puerto Vallarta! Start the day with a visit to the small village of Las Palmas where you can mount your horses for a nice ride along the San Sebastian River and tropical forests. Mercado Municipal, Vallarta’s largest craft market, lies alongside the Cuale River and houses a wide selection of some of the finest ceramics, pottery, embroidered clothing, masks, mirrors, wood carvings, and hand-dyed rugs. If you have a chance, be sure to visit the Paseo Diaz Ordaz and Isla Iquana Shopping Center galleries for some of artist Sergio Bustamante’s original work!

Humpback Whales Breach In The Bay

The whale sightings in Banderas Bay are a must-see for any trip. Every year, up to a couple hundred humpback whales return to the bay to mate and give birth. Luckily for us animal lovers, these whales breach quite frequently during this process – up to once every 40 seconds for several minutes! Many experts believe that the magnificent leaps are a display of strength and are crucial to this courtship.
